QUEEN ELIZABETH II PRESIDES OVER REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Queen Elizabeth II presided over the annual Remembrance Sunday ceremony held at the Cenotaph in London amidst heavy security. The Queen was joined by members of the royal family including the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex in commemorating the fallen soldiers in a somber ceremony that included the laying of poppy wreaths, a moment of silence, the playing of The Last Post, the singing of the hymn, ‘O God, Our Help in Ages Past,’ and prayers for the fallen. This year was especially poignant as it marks the centenary of the outbreak of World War I. Photos by Getty Images.
