King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia attended the annual Pascua Militar ceremony in Madrid on January 6, 2015, the feast day of the Epiphany. The ceremony dates back to 1782 during the reign of King Carlos III. This was the first Pascua Militar ceremony presided over by King Felipe, who ascended the throne last year. A military review took place which was followed by a reception at the Royal Palace. For her first Pascua Militar event, Queen Letizia wore a floor length teal Felipe Varela gown.
