PRINCE GEORGE OF CAMBRIDGE IS CHRISTENED

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was christened on October 23, 2013 by the Archbishop of Canterbury at the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, London.  In a small family affair, the infant prince was christened with water from the River Jordan and was dressed in a replica of the gown worn by royal babies since the 1840s.  In attendance were Prince George’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh; The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall; Prince Harry; the Middleton family; and the godparents and their respective spouses.  The godparents of Prince George are: Mr. Oliver Baker; Emilia Jardine-Paterson; Hugh, Earl Grosvenor;  Mr. Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton; Julia Samuel, Zara Tindall (nee Phillips) and Mr. William van Cutsem.  Photos by Getty Images.
