Here are more photographs from the 60th Anniversary Coronation Service of Queen Elizabeth II that was held at Westminster Abbey on June 4, 2013. The heavily pregnant Duchess of Cambridge wore a pink creation by Jenny Packham while the Queen opted for an ensemble by Angela Kelly of silk brocade in an oyster color. It is interesting to note that the Crown of St. Edward’s which is used to crown sovereigns, was placed at the High Altar of Westminster Abbey during the service. It had been taken there amidst tight security from the Tower of London. It was the first time the priceless and historic crown left the Tower of London since the 1953 coronation.
