PRINCE HARRY PLAYS POLO FOR CHARITY IN GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT

At the end of his official tour of the U.S., Prince Harry played polo at the Greenwich Polo Club in Greenwich, Connecticut on May 15, 2013 as part of The Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup.  The afternoon’s game of polo, which was played before a crowd of 400 guests, raised $1 million for the Lesotho children’s charity, Sentebale, which was founded by Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.  Prince Harry was part of The Sentebale Land Rover team which went on to win the match, 4-3, with Prince Harry scoring the winning goal.  Before going on the field to play polo, Prince Harry said, in a speech, “Thank you for a wonderful week,” and added, “I have witnessed the extraordinary generosity of the people of this great nation.” Photos by Getty Images.
