The Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Willows Primary School in Manchester, England on April 23, 2013. During her visit, the duchess launched a program designed to help children and their families deal with drug addiction. In her speech, Catherine said that, “My hope is that through this specialist and targeted delivery of care, these children will have the best possible start in life…” The duchess was greeted by cheering school children upon her arrival, waving flags with the cross of St. George in celebration of St. George’s Day. The school’s mascot, a King Charles Spaniel named Henry, ‘presented’ the duchess with a gift basket for Lupo, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s pet cocker spaniel. A delighted Catherine told the mascot by way of thanks, “Henry, you have gone to so much trouble.” Photos by Bauer Griffin and Getty Images.
