BAFTA HONORS QUEEN ELIZABETH II

For her support of British film and television, Queen Elizabeth II was recently honored by the British Academy of Film Television Awards (BAFTA).  BAFTA’s chairman, John Willis, commented in jest how the queen was being honored as well for being “the most memorable Bond girl yet” for her appearance during the opening ceremony of the London Olympics last year.  The actor Kenneth Branagh presented the prize to Queen Elizabeth during a reception held at Windsor Castle to celebrate the British film industry.  Photos by Getty Images.
