THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL’S LATEST ENGAGEMENTS

The Duchess of Cornwall has been busy of late.  On December 12, 2012, she visited the Battersea Dog and Cats Home , of which she is patron.  Accompanying her were her two Jack Russell terriers, Bluebell and Beth.   On the same day she hosted a Children’s Party at Clarence House for the Helen and Douglas House Hospice and London Taxi Driver’s Fund for Underprivileged Children.  On December 13 the duchess traveled to Southampton where she went on board the Queen Victoria cruise ship to mark its fifth birthday.   As President of the National Osteoporosis Society (NOS), the duchess also visited Southampton General Hospital where she met with nurses, doctors and patients in the  Osteoporosis Centre, and attended a reception for a local NOS supporters group as well as medical staff in the Medical Research Council Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit of Southampton General Hospital.  The Duchess of Cornwall visited as well the Emmaus Hampshire Community Centre, Winchester, which helps people move forward from being homeless by helping them develop job-related skills.  Photos by Getty Images.
