SURROUNDED BY GOLD: QUEEN ELIZABETH II VISITS THE BANK OF ENGLAND

Queen Elizabeth II paid a visit, along with Prince Philip, to the Bank of England on December 13, 2012 in London, England.   The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh met with the Governor of the Bank of England and viewed counterfeit currency, banknotes and a gold vault.  A highlight of the visit was viewing stacks of stored gold bullion worth billions of pounds sterling.  Photos by Getty Images.
