THE DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL IN LONDON

The Duke of Cambridge, on December 8, 2012, attended the Winter Whites Gala at London’s Royal Albert Hall.  He was not accompanied by the Duchess of Cambridge, who continues to rest in Kensington Palace.  The duchess was not well again as it had been announced by St. James’s Palace in the afternoon of December 9th that William would be unable to attend an engagement later that evening so that he could stay by his wife’s side.   The Winter Whites Gala was held in aid of Centrepoint, a homeless charity with which the Duke of Cambridge is closely associated.  Tennis legeds John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Novak Djokovic, Chris Evert, Ivan Lendl and Tim Henman, played a round of tennis in the Royal Albert Hall which had been especially transformed for the event.  Photos by Getty Images.
