THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE VISIT THEIR NAMESAKE CITY

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid an official visit to Cambridge, their ‘namesake’ city, on November 28, 2012.   Enthusiastic crowds in the thousands greeted William and Catherine, who arrived by train to the city.  The couple made an appearance on the balcony of Guildhall where the wind wrecked havoc on the duchess’s hairdo.  The couple went on a walkabout during which Catherine met a baby named after Prince William.  When she learned of this, the duchess exclaimed that it was “wonderful.  Photos by Getty Images.
