QUEEN ELIZABETH II ON A DIAMOND JUBILEE TOUR OF BRISTOL

It has been a busy year of official engagements for the eighty-six year-old Queen Elizabeth II and the ninety-one-year-old Duke of Edinburgh.  They recently continued their Diamond Jubilee tour of the UK with a visit to Bristol on November 22, 2012.  Dressed in bright pink, the queen opened the  Old Vic Theatre.  The Old Vic had undergone a a multi- million-pound refurbishment after it was closed for 18 months.  Queen Elizabeth also paid a visit to the Bailey Caravans factory in Ashton Vale.  At the community centre in Hartcliffe, she met staff before unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion of her visit.  Photos by Bauer Griffin and Getty Images.
