QUEEN SONJA OF NORWAY OPENS A NEW MUSEUM IN OSLO

On September 27, 2012, in Oslo, Norway, Queen Sonja opened the new Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, designed by Renzo Piano.  Queen Sonja was dressed in mourning for Princess Ragnhild, the sister of King Harald V of Norway.  Princess Ragnhild, who lived for many years in Brazil, was married to a highly successful businessman, Erling Lorentzen, a leader in the Norwegian underground resistance in World War II.  The princess  died on September 16 and was buried in Norway.  Photos by Getty Images.
