The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued with their Diamond Jubilee Tour on behalf of the queen. In Honiara, Guadalcanal Island, William and Catherine laid wreaths at the Coast Watcher and Solomon Scouts Memorial. They also met with village elders and visited a cultural center on September 17, 2012, day seven of their tour of the Far East and the Pacific. Upon the duke and duchess’s arrival on Tuvanipupu Island, they were given a traditional greeting. William and Catherine were rowed to the island in a traditional canoe. They were followed in the canoe by locals who dressed as sharks. Photos by Getty Images.
