On the third evening of their official visit to the Far East, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended an official dinner hosted by the head of state of Malaysia, Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah of Kedah at the Istana Negara Palace in Kuala Lumpur. The duchess dazzled with an elegant gown in gold and cream. On day four of the couple’s Far East visit, September 14, 2012, the couple visited the Assyakirin Mosque in Malaysia and attended a tea party at the British High Commission. Day four played out while William and Catherine became mired in a story about topless photos of the duchess, taken during a recent private holiday in Provence. The photos, published in a French magazine, elicited a strong condemnatory statement from St. James’s Palace. Photos by Bauer Griffin and Getty Images.
