THE 2012 ORDER OF THE GARTER SERVICE AT WINDSOR CASTLE

The 2012 Order of the Garter Service took place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on June 18, 2012.    The oldest British order of chivalry, the Order of the Garter was founded in 1348 by King Edward III in 1348.   Members of the British Royal Family were in attendance, including the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Princess Royal, the Earl and Countess of Wessex, the Duke of York and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.  Photos by Getty Images.
