SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING FOR THE LIVES OF THE QUEEN MOTHER AND PRINCESS MARGARET ON THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR DEATHS

On March 30, 2012, members of the British Royal Family, headed by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, attended a service of thanksgiving for the lives of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and her daughter, Princess Margaret.  The Queen’s mother and sister died in 2002, within weeks of each other in the year that Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Golden Jubilee on the throne.  The service of thanksgiving took place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.  Others in attendances included the Prince of Wales; the Duchess of Cornwall; Prince Harry; the Countess of Wessex; Princess Eugenie;  Prince Michael of Kent; the late Princess Margaret’s son, Viscount Linely; his daughter, Margarita Armstrong-Jones, his son, Charles Armstrong-Jones and nephews, Arthur and Samuel Chatto.  Photos by Bauer Griffin and Getty Images.
