On March 30, 2012, members of the British Royal Family, headed by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, attended a service of thanksgiving for the lives of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and her daughter, Princess Margaret. The Queen’s mother and sister died in 2002, within weeks of each other in the year that Queen Elizabeth celebrated her Golden Jubilee on the throne. The service of thanksgiving took place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.
