QUEEN ELIZABETH II OFFICIALLY REOPENS KENSINGTON PALACE AFTER A MAJOR REFURBISHMENT

Queen Elizabeth II presided over the official reopening of Kensington Palace on March 15, 2012 in London, England, after the palace underwent a   £12 million refurbishment.  The royal palace is expected to reopen to the public on March 26.  The palace was once the home of Queen Victoria; Diana, the Princess of Wales; and Princess Margaret.  The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to move into the palace soon.   Photos by Bauer Griffin and Getty Images and Corbis.
