Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the Commonwealth by attending two official functions.  At Marlborough House in London, the queen attended a Commonwealth Day reception.  At Westminster Abbey, on March 12, 2012, Queen Elizabeth  attended the annual Commonwealth Day Observance Service.  Upon her arrival, the queen, wearing a vivid pink ensemble, was greeted by the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, the Dean of Westminster.  The theme for this year’s Observance Service, attended by representatives from the Commonwealth countries is “Connecting Cultures.”  Photos by Getty Images.
