PRINCE HARRY VISITS BELIZE AS PART OF A DIAMOND JUBILEE TOUR HONORING QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Prince Harry arrived in Belize in Central America as part of a Diamond Jubilee tour honoring his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.  The prince will be touring Belize, the Bahamas, Jamaica and Brazil representing the queen.  Belize, the former British Honduras, with a population of 350,000 is bordered by Mexico, the Caribbean Sea and Guatemala.  It was declared a British Crown Colony in 1862.  In 1981 the country became fully independent from Britain. Prince Harry during his visit to Belize, visited the Xunantunch Mayan Temple in Benque Viejo del Carmen on March 3, 2012.  He also toured the Organization of American States on the Belize Guatemalan border of the OAS Adjacency.  He also participated in a Jubilee Block Party in Belmopan on March 2, 2012.  The prince arrived in Belize on March 2nd.  Photos by Getty Images.
