PRINCESS MARIE OF DENMARK GIVES BIRTH TO HER SECOND CHILD, A DAUGHTER

Princess Marie, the wife of Prince Joachim of Denmark (second son of Queen Margrethe II) gave birth on January 24, 2012 to a baby girl weighing in at 6.45 pounds at Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet.  Prince Joachim, 42, and Marie, 35, are the parents of Prince Henrik, who will turn two years old in May.  Prince Joachim is also the father of two sons, Prince Nikolai, 12 and Prince Felix, 9, from his first wife, the former Alexandra Manley.  The new baby girl is 10th in line to the Danish throne.  Her names will be officially announced at her christening.   Photos from Getty Images.
