The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Centrepoint’s Camberwell Foyer Centre in Camberwell, London on December 21, 2011. Prince William is patron of the organization, which helps homeless young people. The prince’s late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, used to take her sons, William and Harry, to visit privately, Centrepoint’s hostels so that they could come to understand the plight of homeless young people. During William and Catherine’s visit, the couple took part in a cookery class where they made gingerbread and low fat mince pies. The Duchess of Cambridge also made a heart-shaped cookie for a young woman who turned eighteen. Photos courtesy of Bauer Griffin and WPA Pool/Getty Images Europe.
