Earlier this month, Queen Jestun Pema, the new queen of Bhutan, was at the Taj Palace in New Delhi on November 1, 2011 for the publication of a book on photographs taken by her husband, King Jigme Khesar. The book, entitled, “Bhutan Through the Lens of the King” is a coffee table book that captures the beauty of Bhutan. Featured are 160 photographs of the kingdom’s pristine lakes, wild life, towering mountains, ancient monasteries and every day life. The final photograph in the book is a stunning one taken by the king of his much admired new wife and queen. The book launch was attended by various Bhutanese and Indian dignitaries. The book is published by Roli publications based in New Delhi.
