THE DUKE & DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE ON CHARITY VISIT TO COPENHAGEN ACCOMPANIED BY THE CROWN PRINCE & CROWN PRINCESS OF DENMARK

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Copenhagen on November 2, 2011 where they joined Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark to focus on emergency aid for East Africa.   The two royal couples went to the UN Children’s Fund world supply centre in the Danish capital.  At the huge warehouse, William and Catherina helped pack emergency medical kits.  Each of the boxes contain enough equipment and supplies to treat 400 people.  The Duchess of Cambridge is quoted as saying, “I was shocked by some of the statistics” associated with the severe food shortages affecting East Africe where some 13 million are in dire need of help.  Catherine also emphasized how attention needed to be raised “on this terrible crisis.”
