QUEEN BEATRIX, PRINCE WILLEM ALEXANDER & PRINCESS MAXIMA ATTEND PRINSJESDAG 2011 – PRINCES’ DAY IN THE NETHERLANDS

On September 20, 2011, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, along with members of the Dutch royal family including her eldest son and heir, Prince Willem Alexander, and his wife, Princess Maxima, attended Prinsjesdag or Princes’ Day in The Hague, Netherlands.  This yearly event marks the day that the next year’s budget is announced by the Dutch government.  It is a day of ceremony and pomp where the Queen travels in The Hague in the Golden Carriage and delivers her speech to parliament.
