QUEEN ELIZABETH II’S SURPRISING VERDICT ON THE DISPLAY OF CATHERINE’S WEDDING DRESS

QUEEN ELIZABETH II IS SURPRISED BY THE EERY LOOK OF THE EXHIBIT OF THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE’S WEDDING DRESS

The Queen toured the exhibit that is set to open in Buckingham Palace which has as its centerpiece, the famous wedding dress designed by Sarah Burton for Catherine Middleton.  The Duchess of Cambridge accompanied Prince William’s grandmother during the private tour on July 22, 2011, which was recorded by the press.   The wedding dress, fitted on a headless mannequin, had taken on an eery and ghostlike appearance.  When the Queen arrived in front of the display of the wedding dress, the cameras picked up what she said, quipping that it was “horrible” and “horrid.”  “It’s made to look very creepy,” added the monarch.  Catherine responded that it had a “3D Effect.”  Perhaps the Queen’s reaction was not what those who designed the display had in mind?
