DAY TWO, JULY 1, 2011:  OTTAWA – CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS, PARLIAMENT HILL

For Day Two of the Canadian Tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated Canada Day, the country’s birthday.  Events included a celebration on Parliament Hill and a concert in the evening.  On both occasions, in honor of the host country, Catherine wore the Canadian Diamond Maple Leaf brooch lent by the Queen.  For the main celebratory event, the Duchess also wore red and white, the colors of Canada’s flag.
