THE RELIGIOUS WEDDING OF PRINCE ALBERT II AND CHARLENE TOOK PLACE IN THE PRINCE’S PALACE, MONACO (Part 1)

Albert and Charlene were married in a Catholic ceremony on Saturday, July 2nd in the Prince’s Palace, Monaco.  The lavish wedding took place a day after the couple were married civilly.  Charlene made for a stunning bride in her Armani gown studded with tens of thousands of Swarovski crystal and mother of pearl tear drops.  The bride’s train was composed of twenty meters of silk tulle.  Some 850 guests attended, and included royalty and celebrities.  The prince’s nieces, Charlotte Casiraghi and Princess Alexandra of Hanover (Princess Caroline’s daughters), and Pauline Ducruet (Princess Stephanie’s daughter) participated in the wedding.  Charlotte and Pauline did some readings while Alexandra acted as ring bearer.  The couple exchanged rings made by Cartier.
