(1922) Princess Mary, the Princess Royal to Viscount Lascelles (later Earl of Harewood)

On February 28, 1922, Princess Mary, the Princess Royal, the only daughter of King George V and Queen Mary, married Viscount Lascelles who later became the Earl of Harewood.  The embroidered bridal gown, made in India , was of silver and silk.  The main design on the gown was of the rose of England .  The bridal train was edged with lace which had been worn by the bride’s mother, Queen Mary, and bride’s maternal grandmother, the Duchess of Teck.
